  • Images used for slideshows

Types of "Image" components

Free image

This component is used to upload an image as it is. There is no size modification except to fit the screen. ADVICE: use the FOCUS tool to select the important zone of an image. When the image is reduced to fit the screen, the system focuses on the important zone. To use the FOCUS tool, follow these steps:

  • Go in the tab 'FILES'
  • Move the red square on the important zone of each image
  • Click on "Update meta data" (in 'Action on files')

Standard image:

Component used to upload an image that will automatically resize and crop to fit a zone defined by the template. (the image is reproportioned according to the width defined by the template)

Banner:

Component used to upload a long image

Decorative image:

This component is used to upload an image from a data base. This database is common to all EP information offices. The image is invisible on the page where the component is used.

Decorative images are usually used when adding a menu made of links to pages (often used on homepages).
The CMS selects the first image on the linked page and add it in the homepage menu (or in any page where you add the 'links to pages' component). If you want to display another image in this menu (not the first image showed on the linked page), use the decorative image component. Add this component before the image. The image will be invisible on the linked page but will be selected for the menu.
